Some might be inclined to gauge success by adding numbers, but I prefer to focus more on the personal rewards that seem to grow stronger with each passing year. The most enjoyable facet of my brokerage business is the people I work with; yachting is a social activity. As they buy and sell their yachts, our clients continue to count on me through numerous transactions year after year and I’m pleased to that many of these business relationships have evolved into rewarding friendships.

With 28 years of international yacht brokerage experience, my business has covered many types of yachts in numerous countries around the globe. While brokerage sales continue to be the principal focus, I have also enjoyed numerous new construction yacht projects. My construction experience includes design assistance and building in fiberglass, aluminum and steel hull in the United States, Europe and Taiwan. 

My boating background began at a very young age, cruising on my grandfather’s yachts on the waters of Michigan’s Lake St. Clair. Buying my first boat at the age of 12, I have enjoyed owning a variety of boats throughout my life. A certified scuba diver since the mid 60’s and USCG Masters Licensed, I genuinely enjoy ocean experiences. My early Great Lakes cruising experience led to a long list of itineraries that range from the U.S. West Coast (California and Alaska), the U.S. East Coast (including the Bahamas), the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. My wife Veronica (“Ronnie”) and I still enjoy cruising whenever we can get away from our fast-paced business. 

I am very involved in the Florida Yacht Brokers Association (FYBA) an organization in which I have been involved from its inception and have served for two terms on its Board of Directors. I am committed to enhancing the level of professionalism in the yacht brokerage industry. Currently I am working with the Certified Professional Yacht Broker "CPYB" program and have been since its inception.  In fact, everyone at The Marine Group strives to provide the highest quality service. As veterans in a variety of marine fields, our group offers strong support to each other, making our in-house resources quite formidable.
